Rest in peace my darling… (Oct. 5, 1950 - May 27, 2011)
Kelly Ward (Putzie in Grease) : Gosh, I have so many memories of Jeff. He was just playful and naughty, and that’s making it sound really nice. He was just wicked. We had a boys’ night out on the town that Jeff instigated I think for John’s birthday. And we went out and painted the town red one night. Even though he was kind of second in command of our movie group, in real life he was a take-charge kind of guy in terms of ‘Hey let’s go.’ ‘Let’s go here to get a meal’ or ‘Let’s go here to do such and such.’ He was pure theatrical animal, Jeff Conaway.
Olivia Newton-John (Sandy in Grease) : Jeff had a good heart and was so very talented. He was a big part of our family for many years and he will be missed.
John Travolta (Danny Zuko in Grease) : Jeff Conaway was a wonderful and decent man, and we will miss him. My heartfelt thoughts are with his family and loved ones at this very difficult time.
Danny DeVito (Louie De Palma in Taxi) : He is finally at peace. Jeff was a good man. I will always think of him fondly and of our days together with the Taxi family.
Marilu Henner (Elaine Nardo in Taxi and friend since 1962) : He was such a sweetheart. You know, a character – he had this wicked sense of humor but he was so sweet, so sweet, in a way that I think a lot of people don’t realize. … He was just a doll.
